UPDATE: Woman Dies After Being Hit by Pickup Truck

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman has died after being hit by a pickup truck.

The accident happened the evening of October 2 near the intersection of Adams Avenue and West 2nd Street in Huntington.

Huntington Police tell WSAZ.com the woman was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center, but died the following day.

Her name has not been released.

No charges are expected to be filed against the driver. The accident remains under investigation.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman struck by a pickup truck Tuesday night in West Huntington was leaving a nearby house when she stumbled into traffic, Huntington Police at the scene tell WSAZ.com.

The woman, who police say is middle age, was taken to the trauma center at St. Mary's Medical Center. Her condition was unknown late Tuesday.

The victim was hit about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Adams Avenue and West 2nd Street. Witnesses say she was leaving a nearby house and stumbled into oncoming traffic.

The driver is cooperating with Huntington Police.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A person was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night near the intersection of Adams Avenue and 2nd Street West, Cabell County 911 dispatchers say.

The person’s injuries appeared to be serious, and the victim was taken to a trauma center at a Huntington hospital.

The accident was reported just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
