UPDATE: Man Dies after Hit by Vehicle in Lincoln Co.; Name Released

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The name of a man who was hit and killed by a car in Lincoln County Monday night has been released.
West Virginia State Police tell WSAZ.com that Jennings Ferguson, 49, of Branchland, was walking along Route 10 in the Midkiff area about 10 p.m. Monday.
Troopers say it appears Ferguson was under the influence and walked into traffic when he was hit.
Ferguson died at the scene.

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle Monday night.
Lincoln County 911 dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the accident happened between the Midkiff and Ranger areas about 9:30 p.m. Monday.
Dispatchers say the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no word on what caused the accident.
West Virginia State Police are on the scene.
