CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A West Virginia State Police cruiser almost crashed into a busy store Thursday afternoon.
Charleston Police say the driver of a white car pulled out in front of a trooper in the 200 block of Quarrier Street in Charleston.
The trooper's cruiser and the white car collided. The cruiser then lost control, went over a sidewalk and ended up in a flower bed.
It stopped just short of hitting the side of the Sears building at the Charleston Town Center Mall.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be okay.
The accident happened just after 3 p.m. Thursday in the 200-block of Quarrier Street.
Dispatchers say the cruiser and another car are involved in the crash.
There is no word on if anyone has been hurt.
Dispatchers are asking drivers to avoid the area.
