Train Crashes into Truck

HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A train has crashed into a truck in Putnam County.

It happened about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday just off of Route 34 in front of Hurricane High School.

Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards tells WSAZ.com, the driver of the truck had just finished off loading materials at a nearby storage facility.

He was crossing the railroad tracks to pull out onto Route 34 when he was hit.

No one in the truck or train was hurt in the accident.

Dispatchers say it happened about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday just off of Route 34 right in front of Hurricane High School.

No on was hurt in the accident.
