WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Prichard has been killed in a crash along the Tolsia Highway (U.S. 52) in Wayne County Thursday morning.
Wayne County Sheriff Deputies tell WSAZ.com that 65-year-old Garry Smith died in the accident
The crash happened near the end of the four-lane in Prichard. It was reported just before 9 a.m.
Deputies say Smith was pulling onto the highway from Centerville Road when his pickup was hit by a truck hauling asphalt.
Both vehicles ended up off the road in a grassy area.
Firefighters had to help get the driver out of the dump truck. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident happened in the southbound lanes.
