PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A Johnson County mother who pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in the death of her infant son has learned how much time she’ll spend in jail.
Heather Stambaugh, 35, of Hager Hill, entered the guilty plea last month.
Police said her five-month-old son Draven died from an overdose of Benadryl and Soma in November 2010. She was originally charged with second-degree manslaughter.
During a hearing Friday in Johnson County Circuit Court, Stambaugh was sentenced to one year in jail. She was given credit for time served which means Stambaugh only needs to serve 65 more days of that sentence before she is released.
In January, a jury found Stambaugh's 65-year-old mother, Alice, guilty of complicity to manslaughter. She was given a five year sentence.
Heather Stambaugh, 35, of Hager Hill, made the plea to the lesser charge on Thursday.

Alice Stambaugh was charged with manslaughter last year after police say her five month old grandson, Draven, died from an overdose of Benadryl and Soma.
During the two day trial in Johnson County, Stambaugh's attorney argued she did nothing wrong and blamed her daughter Heather, the baby's mother.
Tuesday afternoon, the jury convicted Alice Stambaugh of manslaughter, second degree, and recommended a five year sentence.
Heather Stambaugh is also charged and her trial is scheduled for April.
Alice and Heather Stambaugh are charged with manslaughter following the death of Heather's infant son.
Investigators say the infant died back in November of 2010 from overdosing on medication.
Last month, Alice Stambaugh said she did nothing wrong.
The two entered not guilty pleas Friday.
They are expected to be back in court July 1st.

According to Paintsville Police, on November 13, 2010, they responded to a call of an infant not breathing or moving at the Hidden Valley Apartments.
The Johnson County Coroner arrived at the scene and pronounced the almost 5-month-old baby Draven dead.
Wednesday, the Johnson County Grand Jury indicted Draven's mother, 34-year-old Heather Stambaugh and Draven's grandmother, 65-year-old Alice Stambaugh for second degree manslaughter.
According to the indictment, baby Draven died of an overdose of Benadryl and Soma.
Both of the women were arrested on Thursday and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
Alice Stambaugh has been released on a surety bond. Heather Stambaugh is still behind bars.
Both women face 5 to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine if they are found guilty.
