Murder Suspect Arrested at Women's & Children's Hospital in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- New details about a murder investigation in Raleigh County that stretches to the Kanawha Valley have developed.

Police say Cornealus Taylor and Dewayne Lane are now in custody.

Taylor turned himself in late Thursday night and Lane was caught in Bluefield a short time ago.

Taylor and Lane, along with Alfred Pittman, are accused of shooting Shawn Rucker to death outside his home in Beckley on Sept. 26.

Pittman was caught in Charleston Thursday night at Women and Children's Hospital.

Police say he was visiting a patient when he was caught.

Pittman is being held in the South Central Regional Jail.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A suspect in a deadly shooting in Beckley has been caught in Charleston.

Police arrested Alfred "Little Les" Leslie Pittman, 24, of Beckley, Thursday night at Women and Children's Hospital in Charleston.

Investigators received a tip that he was with a relative at the hospital. That's when they responded to the scene and arrested him.

Beckley Police say Pittman shot and killed Shawn Rucker during a home invasion last week on 6th Street.

Rucker was found in the yard with several gunshot wounds.

Witnesses helped identify the three men wanted in the shooting, including Pittman.

Pittman was arraigned on first-degree murder Thursday evening in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. He is currently in the South Central Regional Jail.

Police are still looking for Cornealus Taylor and Dewayne Lane.

CHARLESTON, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Charleston Police arrested a homicide suspect at Women's and Children's Hospital Thursday night.

Alfred Pittman was wanted in connection to a homicide in Beckley. He was taken into custody at the hospital.

Police have not released any details about the arrest.
