HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington City Council adopted a resolution Monday night for repurchase of naming rights of the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
Big Sandy will pay $150,000 during the next five years. That's $5,000 more than the city has received previously.
That money will then go into the city's general fund. Council members say when the arena does well, it's beneficial to the city.
Council members also voted Monday to increase the salary for the Huntington Police Department's Intel analyst who provides information on crime data and trends for the city.
