GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Some residents in Gallipolis need to boil their water before use as a precaution.
According to a release from the City of Gallipolis, the advisory was issued due to the repair of a six-inch water line break.
About 243 customers are affected by the advisory.
Customers in the are of Brentwood Drive to State Route 160, Martin Drive and Solar Drive and Bulaville Pke to Plantz Subdivision should boil their water for at least three minutes before use for any reason.
The water department is conducting an investigation and collecting additional samples and hopes to have this problem corrected soon. An additional notice will be given when the water use advisory is lifted.
