Boil Water Advisory Issued for Some Kenova Residents

KENOVA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for some customers in Kenova.

The advisory is being issued as a precaution after a water main break on U.S. Route 152 that happened over the weekend.

Customers in the following areas are affected by the advisory:

  • Residents along Big Sandy River Road
  • Residents along Little HurricaneCreek Road
  • Residents along Hewlett Road
  • Residents along Long Branch
  • Residents along Sugar Branch
  • Residents along Queens Creek
  • Residents along Wolf Pen Hollow
  • Residents along Big Hurricane Creek Road including the left fork
  • Residents along Rt.37
  • Residents along Spruce Creek Road
  • Residents along Tark Hill Road
  • Residents along Greenbrier Creek Road
  • Residents along Joels Branch Road
  • Residents along Flat Branch Road

    The problem has already been repaired by Kenova Water and they are collecting the necessary bacteriological samples at this time.
