UPDATE 4/25/14 @ 5:30 p.m.
BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The search is on for two suspects who broke into the Family Life Pharmacy early Thursday morning. It's a crime that's left the pharmacy's employees a bit shaken.
"It was pretty shocking," Pharmacy owner Bart Elkins said. "When something like this happens, you know that people are pretty desperate."
Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff's Department were back on the scene of the crime Friday afternoon working to close in on the two suspects.
"We're possibly looking at someone that's disorganized," Boone County Chief Deputy Chad Barker said. "Sort of a disorganized criminal, and possibly a spur of the moment type deal."
The two suspects were in and out in less than a minute, leading police to believe they had been inside before the break-in.
"We do feel they done some type of surveillance or had some type of knowledge of the inside of the store," Chief Deputy Barker said.
Police say the pair was able to get away with a "moderate" amount of prescription pills, along with some controlled substances. But investigators hope the clear surveillance video, along with the suspect's colorful attire, someone will be able to recognize the two.
In the meantime, the pharmacy's owner says the crime is leaving many in the area a bit worried.
"For the community and everything, it makes everyone feel less safe," Elkins said.
Police say the two suspects drove off in a dark-colored, four-door sedan.
Investigators say this crime is very similar to other pharmacy break-ins in Lincoln County. However, police say it's far too early to connect the crimes.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Family Life Pharmacy in Comfort was broken into overnight Wednesday.
According to the time stamp on the surveillance video, the break-in happened about 3:40 a.m.
In the video, you can see one of the suspects throw a block through the front door, shattering the glass.
Two men were seen on the video.
According to the time stamp, they were only in the pharmacy for about 40 seconds.
Deputies say they were able to get way with pills.
The suspects left the scene in a black, or dark colored, 4-door sedan.
If you recognize the men, call the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
