BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Two men have been arrested in Boyd County in connection with shoplifting and manufacturing meth.
Deputies say Jared Binion, 30, was arrested after shoplifting items from Wal-Mart. He purchased and shoplifted some items that are used to make meth. He then returned the items not used to make meth for a gift card. He proceeded to use that gift card to purchase more items to manufacture meth.
Binion had a passenger in his car, Ernest Bloomfield, who also shoplifted from the store. The two were arrested and all items were seized by deputies.
Binon is charged with manufacturing meth and shoplifting. Bloomfield is charged with shoplifting and menacing after he attempted to get in deputies faces and curse at them while being questioned.
The two are being held at the Boyd County Detention Center.
