CATLETTSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A Boyd County, Ky. man has been arrested on child porn charges following an undercover investigation in both Kentucky and Ohio.
Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway announced Monday that 40-year-old Thomas Sellers, of Catlettsburg, was arrested Friday on eight counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Sellers pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment Monday in Boyd District Court. He is being held in the Boyd County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
The charges against Sellers stem from an undercover investigation by the Ohio Attorney General’s office which identified a computer that possessed images of child sexual abuse.
A subpoena revealed that the subscriber resided in Boyd County, Ky.
Agents from the Ohio Attorney General’s Computer Crimes Unit referred their findings to General Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit for further investigation.
