CEREDO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person has been taken to the hospital after an early morning fire at an apartment building in Ceredo.
Firefighters were called to the four-unit building at 602 First Street in Ceredo about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Ceredo Fire Chief Dave Caudill tells WSAZ.com that eight to 10 people lived in the building.
Chief Caudill says the fire was contained to one apartment that was severely damaged. Several other apartments received smoke and heat damage.
Caudill also says one person was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center with minor injuries.
Caudill said the fire appears to an accident.
