Cables Stolen from Columbia Gas Transmission Station in Sissonville

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A search is underway for the person who stole from a gas compressor station in Sissonville Thursday morning.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Columbia Gas Transmission station on Kelly's Creek road just before 10 a.m.

Deputies say a couple of spools of fiber optic cable were taken from the station.

A spokesperson with Columbia Gas tells WSAZ.com the spools were part of surplus supplies being stored in a lot beside of its secured property.

If you have any information about the theft, you are asked to call the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
