CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was stabbed on Friday morning in the capitol city.
Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com that a man was transported to an area hospital after being stabbed at the corner of Wyoming Street and Maryland Avenue.
According to WV Metro News, the victim called 911 pleading for help after sustaining a stab wound to his leg.
The extent of the victim's injuries is not known at this time.
The Charleston Police Department is actively searching for the person who stabbed the victim.
The incident is currently under investigation.
