MOREHEAD, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police have filed charges against a driver that hit a child getting on a school bus Wednesday morning.
The accident happened just after 7 a.m.Wednesday morning on Ky 519 South in Morehead.
Troopers say the bus had stopped to pickup children when 30-year-old Scottie Ingle, of Morehead, attempted to pass the bus.
The child was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Ingle was charged with Wanton Endangerment, Passing Loading/ Unloading School Bus and Failure to Notify DOT Address Change.
Ingle was arrested without incident and taken to the Rowan County Jail.
