TRAFFIC ALERT: Coal Truck Rolls Over

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One lane of Route 817 remains closed after a coal truck crash.

It happened about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in front of the John Amos Power Plant.

Police tell WSAZ.com, the driver of the truck swerved to miss a car that was turning in front of him.

The truck went into a ditch and rolled over.

The truck was carrying fly ash and it spilled out onto the ground and road.

No one was hurt.

The accident happened about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in front of the John Amos Power Plant.

Police tell WSAZ.com, the driver of the truck lost control and went into a ditch.

The truck rolled over and spilled it's load of coal.

No one was hurt.

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a coal truck rollover on Route 817 in Putnam County.

It happened about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in front of the John Amos Power Plant.

Dispatchers say the road will be closed for awhile because coal has spilled all over the road.

Minor injuries have been reported.
