Commissioners Warn of Possible Phone Scheme

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Kanawha County Commission says its telephone number is being used in a scheme.
A man from Putnam County says he got two phone calls from the commission's number.
The person was asking for credit card and IRS information. Commissioners say they would never do that.
If you get a call from 304-357-0101 and the person asks for information regarding your finances hang up and call police.
The commission has contacted Frontier Communications about the situation.
