CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crash between a logging truck and a Comcast van Friday evening has snarled traffic on W.Va. 2 at the intersection of the Merritt’s Creek Connector, Cabell County Sheriff’s deputies say.
Both the logging truck driver and the van driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened about 5:40 p.m. Friday when the logging truck, which was heading north and downhill on the Merritt’s Creek Connector (also known as the Big Ben Bowen Highway) experienced brake failure and crashed into the van. That collision caused the van to crash into two other vehicles.
W.Va. 2 reopened in that area later Friday evening.
