UPDATE 3/6/14 @ 4 p.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man remains in the hospital after being involved in an accident on the interstate, then getting run over by another vehicle.

The accident happened about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of I-64 between the 29th Street and Hal Greer exits.

Huntington Police say a witness on the scene told them Blake Blackwelder's truck was side swiped by a white Toyota in the fast lane, causing him to lose control.

They say his truck was then hit by a semi and Blackwelder was thrown from the cab of his truck.

Then, police say a third car then ran over Blackwelder's legs while he was on the interstate.

Blackwelder remains in the hospital Thursday. He is in fair condition.

Police are looking for the white Toyota believed to be involved in the crash.

There's still no word on the condition of the man who was ejected from a truck and hit by a car.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Interstate 64 westbound remains closed Wednesday night in the area where a man was hurt in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles, Huntington Police tell WSAZ.com.

The man was a passenger in a truck that possibly slid and came to rest in the middle of the roadway. The tractor-trailer then hit the truck in the side, ejecting the man into the roadway.

A car traveling west proceeded to hit the man.

The man was conscious when rescue crews arrived, but he suffered injuries to his lower body. His condition was unavailable.

He was taken to a Huntington hospital.

The wreck was reported about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday near the 13-mile marker. That's in the construction zone between the Hal Greer Boulevard and 29th Street exits.

Westbound traffic is being diverted off the 29th Street exit onto U.S. 60.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crash Wednesday night has closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 64 between the 29th Street and Hal Greer exits, Cabell County 911 dispatchers say.

The wreck was reported about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday near the 13-mile marker. That's in the construction zone between exits 15 and 11.

One truck is reported to be involved.

It was initially unknown if there are injuries.

Huntington Police Department and Cabell County Emergency Services Crews are on the scene.

We also have a crew headed to the scene.
