Current and Former Firefighter Charged in String of Fires

NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A father and son are facing charges after police say they set a series of fires in Nicholas County.

West Virginia State Police say they arrested Charles Fillmore Barnett and his son Charles Lindell Barnett on Tuesday.

Troopers say the pair is connected to several building and brush fires in the Mount Lookout area.

The father is a current member of the Wilderness Volunteer Fire Department and his son is a former member.

Troopers say the fires were set between December 2011 and the Spring of 2012.

Investigators say more charges could be filed and more arrests could be coming.
