Daughter of WWI Veteran Receives Honor for Father's Service

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A World War One veteran's legacy is being kept alive.
Dorothy Gunno, who is the daughter of John Turner, was presented with the World War One victory button and victory medal on Wednesday in Charleston.
Turner was honored for his service in the Meuse-Argonne battle, which is considered the final and most important campaign by American Forces.
He died back in 1962.
