LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A family in Logan County is struck by fear as search efforts continue for a missing loved one.

Sheriff's Deputies say James "David" Marcum, 44, of Henslawson, went missing last Tuesday night.

Family members say he left home just before 11 p.m. on his four-wheeler and never returned.

"It just isn't like him," his sister Darlie Gearhart said. "I know something went wrong."

West Virginia State Police have been helping with the investigation and say they've searched much of the county by helicopter.

Troopers tell WSAZ.com they've also been scouring rivers and ponds for any signs of Marcum without success.

But family members say they won't stop searching for answers until that changes.

"If he's out there, I really want him to call...just to let somebody know he's OK," Gearhart said. "And if he's not and someone harmed him...I just want to know where he is."

Family members say they're concerned because Marcum has a severe allergy to bee stings.

They plan to post flyers around the area offering a reward for any information leading to his whereabouts.
