ASHLAND, KY (WSAZ) -- A man from Detroit, Michigan is behind bars following an undercover narcotics operation at the Ashland Bus Station Wednesday night.
That's where the Boyd County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit and the Kentucky State Police say they observed a man getting off a bus from Detroit.
Deputies then watched the man walk down a back alley and get into a white Ford SUV.
Officers followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at 16th Street and Greenup Avenue in Ashland.
Deputies say during a search of both people in the SUV, they found large amounts of Oxycodone tablets and Xanax bars on the the man who got off the bus.
Investigators arrested and charged 22-year-old Jarmayne Geans with Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance
We're told the 549 pills had a street value of about $19,500.
Geans was taken to the Boyd County Detention Center.
