CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A popular run is running into trouble in Charleston.
Organizers of the "Dirty Girl Mud Run" want to hold the event at Coonskin Park in Charleston again next year.
The three-mile run that has 11 obstacles is designed by an elite ex-Army Ranger.
The run was held in April of this year at Coonskin.
For next year's race, they want to move it to July. Park officials say the run forces them to shut down nearly the entire park and it does cause some damage.
They say it is damage everyone would have to deal with for the rest of the summer.
Park officials say they are working with race officials to come to an agreement.
