VIENNA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A layaway angel stopped by K-Mart in Vienna, W.Va. Wednesday.
A person who wishes to remain anonymous paid off 41 layaway contracts totaling more than $8,000.
The customer said his goal was to make sure area kids are able to have a Christmas they deserve. And, he hopes his donation will spur others to take similar actions.
"It's an incredible thing. You know, it really brings back the true meaning of the Christmas season for us and you know, allows us to remember as a group of workers what it means to celebrate Christmas," says K-Mart Manager, Kyle Chester.
The layaway angel's generous donation was the biggest K-Mart has ever received.
