LUCASVILLE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Thousands of dollars of drugs are now off the streets after a woman confesses to having cocaine and heroin in her car.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that Wednesday night, troopers pulled over a car on U.S. 23 near Lucasville for a registration violation.
Troopers said they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the passenger side of the car.
During a pat down of the one the passengers, troopers say they found a baggie containing 13 grams of marijuana in the rear of his pants.
Then during questioning, the female driver told troopers she was concealing drugs and voluntarily turned over 15 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of heroin and $1,000 in cash.
Troopers estimated the drugs have a street value of just over $5,000.
Troopers arrested the driver, 25-year-old Chanel Bufkin, and her passengers 24-year-old Jermer Howard and 33-year-old Lapercy Allen. All three are from Toledo. Each is charged with possession of cocaine and heroin, both felonies.
The three were taken to the Scioto County Jail.
