Drug Investigation Leads to Two Arrests in Boyd County

BOYD COUNTY, Ky (WSAZ) -- Two women were arrested Friday night in connection with buying drugs and sneaking them into jail.

Penny McClary, 37, and Holly M. Lewis, 29, were arrested in Ashland by Boyd County Sheriff's deputies.

Deputies say they saw the women buy the drugs and then pulled them over.

McClary was caught with oxycodone pills and taken to the Boyd County Detention Center where they searched her and found more pills.

McClary is charged with trafficking a controlled substance, trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school, promoting contraband into a jail and possession of a controlled substance.

Lewis is charged with facilitation of trafficking a controlled substance and facilitation of trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school.
