ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Ashland police collected more than 100 pounds of prescription medication at Saturday's National Drug Take Back day.
The take back is a national event that allows anyone with unused or unwanted medication a chance to safely dispose of them.
Several counties throughout the region participated yesterday, Boyd county being one.
More than 100 pounds of drugs were brought in. Police say that number is lower than years past, but it's not a bad thing because that means folks are safely disposing of them all year long.
