PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A doctor accused of illegally prescribing medications in Parkersburg is now behind bars.
West Virginia State Police arrested Dr. Robert Hogan II, 32, from Coolville, Ohio and charged him with delivery of controlled substance.
Dr. Hogan was employed as an emergency room doctor at Camden Clark Medical Center. He's accused of writing multiple prescriptions for Oxycontin without performing physical exams.
In exchange for prescriptions, troopers say Dr. Hogan required his patients to give him half of the pills.
His arrest comes after a several month investigation. He is now in the North Central Regional Jail.
