FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Plans are underway to demolish a bridge on Ky. 1428 near Cow Creek.
Beginning Monday, the road will be closed for nearly four months as crews rebuild the bridge.
State transportation officials say thenew bridge will be wider, with 3-foot shoulders on both sides.
During construction, traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 23 and Ky. 302.
The road is expected to reopen about Aug. 15.
