Elliott County Sheriff Receives $10,000 Grant

ELLIOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – The Elliott County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded a Law Enforcement Protection Program (LEPP) grant that will better protect the county’s deputies.

Governor Steve Beshear announced Monday that $200,693 is being awarded to 40 law enforcement agencies across the state.

Elliott County is receiving $10,700 to buy body armor vests, duty weapons, shotguns, patrol rifles and Tasers.
