CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Elton John and his band will return to Charleston this summer.
Elton John's 13-city tour will stop in Charleston on June 11 at the Charleston Civic Center. The show will feature iconic hits and classic album tracks from throughout his incredible five-decade career, as well as a selection of new songs from his highly anticipated album, The Diving Board, according to the release.
“We are ecstatic to have entertainment icon Elton John coming to Charleston. When he was last here about 17 years ago it was one of the best concerts we have ever experienced and I am confident that our community will experience a memory for a lifetime if they are fortunate enough to attend this concert,” said John Robertson, General Manager of the Charleston Civic Center.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m.
Elton John is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, with 35 gold and 25 platinum albums, 29 consecutive Top 40 hits and he has sold more than 250 million records worldwide, according to the release.
