UPDATE: Woman Killed in Athens County Crash

CHAUNCEY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A woman from Athens County was killed in a single-car crash on Route 13 in Chauncey Thursday morning.
The Ohio Highway Patrol says Michelle Whitmore, 35, of Jacksonville, was driving south on Route 13 when she ran off the road near the Golden Wings C.B. Club about 6 a.m.
Troopers say Whitmore’s car went down an embankment and overturned.
Whitmore was ejected from her car. She died at the scene.

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- One person has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Athens County, Ohio.
The Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened near Chauncey on SR 13 across from the gun club Thursday morning.
No other details have been released at this time.
