ROANE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Huntington Work Release inmate who disappeared Monday was arrested Wednesday evening about a mile from his home in Roane County, according to a member of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
William Hayes, 35, was serving a one-to-10 year sentence for forging or uttering in Roane County, W.Va. He was captured about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police spotted Hayes hitchhiking near his home after they made a visit to speak with a family member about his whereabouts.
A felony arrest warrant had been issued for Hayes' capture.
He is William Hayes, 35, who was serving a one-to-10 year sentence for forging or uttering in Roane County, W.Va. He was last seen Monday.
