BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – No word right now on what started a fire that destroyed a home in Boyd County Friday afternoon.
The house is in the 4700 block of Route 3.
Firefighters say a man and woman live in the house. We're told 911 got the call about the fire when the woman arrived back at the house and spotted the fire.
Chief Wade Franklin of the England Hill VFD tells WSAZ.com the started in upstairs bedroom.
When they got on the scene, heavy smoke was coming from the second floor.
Franklin says before first engine got up the steep hill to the house, the fire had already gone through the roof.
There are no reported injuries.
Firefighters from several departments were called to the scene.
