KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman is being taken to the hospital after her car flipped and hit a natural gas line.

The accident happened just after 4:00 p.m. by the intersection of Rutledge Road and Hunters Road in Kanawha County

Emergency crews say the driver swerved to miss a piece of carpet in the road. She did have to be cut out of the car but is expected to be okay.

The gas line started leaking because of the accident, but the gas company was able to repair the line before it caused any problems.
