UPDATE: Flames Destroy Home in Hurricane

HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A home was destroyed and two family pets were killed in Hurricane.

The fire broke out Friday morning on Virginia Avenue. No one was home at the time.

Firefighters say the fire may have been burning for hours before the neighbors knew anything was wrong.

A dog and cat were inside. They were unable to make it out.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation Friday.

Dispatchers say flames are shooting from the home.

No one has been hurt.
