FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A former assistant fire chief for the Garrett Volunteer Fire Department is scheduled to be arraigned on June 30.

Monday, the Floyd County Sheriff says he received a call from Terry Triplett, 62, asking to be picked up in the Minnie community

In 2013, a grand jury indicted Triplett on embezzlement charges.

In October 2012, a state audit of the Garrett Volunteer FD found that Triplett allegedly spent more than $120,000 on electronics, gift cards, dinners -- even an automobile.

Investigators said they also found about 800 pornographic videos on a department-owned computer.

In March 2012, Kentucky State Police asked for help in locating Triplett who was also a special deputy with the Sheriff’s Office.

Troopers said that Triplett was last scene leaving his residence wearing a Sheriffs uniform and driving a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria with a red emergency light bar on top.
