HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Sentencing for a former graduate teaching assistant at Marshall University who pleaded guilty to multiple counts of possessing child porn has been continued until next month.
West Virginia State Police arrested Jacob Wolfe, 28, of Huntington, inside his classroom in March 2013
In December 2013, a Cabell County Grand jury indicted Wolfe on 30 counts of possessing child porn.
In May, Wolfe agreed to a plea deal where he pleaded guilty to 20 counts of the indictment.
Wolfe’s sentencing has been continued several times, the latest happened Wednesday morning.
A new sentencing date was set for Oct. 3.
West Virginia State Police arrested Jacob Wolfe, 28, of Huntington inside his classroom back in March.
A Cabell County grand jury indicted Wolfe last week. Prosecutors say the charges go back to July 31, 2012.
Following his arrest, Marshall relieved Wolfe of his teaching duties.
The West Virginia Cyber Crimes Task Force, the West Virginia State Police and Huntington Police were all involved in this investigation.
