Former Pizza Employee Charged in Robbery and Burglary

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A former employee of a pizza shop that was robbed last week in Huntington was arraigned Monday evening on a robbery charge.

Stephen Hornbuckle, 39, of Wayne, is accused of robbing an employee at the Little Caesars pizza parlor in East Huntington.

It happened as the employee was leaving to make a bank deposit near 29th Street and 5th Avenue on March 26.

According to the criminal complaint, Hornbuckle hit the employee on the head and stole the bank bag containing $1800.

Hornbuckle already was in jail on charges he broke into the Little Caesars along U.S. 60 in Barboursville on March 24.

According to criminal complaint, Hornbuckle and another man were caught on camera taking $700 from the safe.

He was arrested on March 28 and charged with breaking and entering, and destruction of property. The complaint says $3500 in damge was done to drive-thru windown and a cash register.

Hornbuckle previously worked at both locations.
