Fort Gay Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

Deputies, who were assisted in the search by Wayne Police, seized four marijuana plants from a back porch, more than $3,300 in cash, marijuana packaged throughout the home, multiple pills and a .22-caliber revolver -- among other evidence.

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Fort Gay was arrested Tuesday on multiple drug charges after Wayne County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at his home.

Richard "Tex" Rogers was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, aiding and abetting, conspiracy, six counts of possession with intent to deliver, cultivation of marijuana, and receiving/transferring stolen property.

Deputies, who were assisted in the search by Wayne Police, seized four marijuana plants from a back porch, more than $3,300 in cash, marijuana packaged throughout the home, multiple pills and a .22-caliber revolver -- among other evidence.

The revolver was confirmed to have been stolen from Pikeville, Ky., deputies say.

Warrants have been issued for another person in the case.
