ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Four people from Ashland face drug charges following a pair of busts by the Boyd County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators say a confidential informant bought morphine from 38-year-old Buddy Howard, 29-year-old Luke Bowden, and 35 year old Marcella Delong about 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. All three were arrested.
Deputies say a subsequent search revealed money, morphine, drug paraphernalia and other narcotics, all of which they seized.
Howard and Bowden are charged with trafficking a controlled substance, while Delong is charged with complicity to traffic a controlled substance.
About 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, deputies say they made an undercover buy of heroin from 51-year-old James Keller. Keller was arrested and charged with trafficking heroin. Investigators say a search of Keller's home revealed money, drug paraphernalia and additional heroin.
All four people are being held this morning in the Boyd County Detention Center.
