Gas Leak Blamed for Starting Brush Fire in Malden

MALDEN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A leaking gas well is being blamed for starting a brush fire in the Malden area of Kanawha County.

Investigators say it started either late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

Fire officials say no homes are in danger.

The Division of Forestry says they have crews on the scene and are working to contain the fire.

There are no reports of any injuries.
