GRAYSON, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The City of Grayson is looking for a new Police Chief.
City Council accepted Ed Ginter’s resignation during their meeting Tuesday night.
Ginter submitted his letter of resignation to Mayor George Steele last week.
Ginter’s resignation takes effect February 19. The former Kentucky State Police Trooper has been Chief since August 2008.
In his resignation letter, Ginter said that he felt it was in the best interest of he and his family to move on. He added that it was an honor to serve as Chief, and he will hold the memories dear to his heart.
Mayor Steel says he wishes Chief Ginter the best in his retirement.
No interim or permanent replacement has been named at this time.
