HUNTINGTON, W.Va. WSAZ) -- Shovels dug into the ground Monday to symbolize the building of a new Habitat House, but for the owner it's about building dreams.
Friends and family gathered in Huntington to celebrate the construction of the new home for Gloria Greene who has never owned her own home.
Greene says this is a holiday miracle.
"Yes it is, a Christmas miracle, just a miracle, I thank God for it... you're gonna make me cry. I have a brand new house that I can call my own, I've been waiting on this a long time," Greene said.
This is the 25th Anniversary of Habitat for Humanity in West Virginia and to celebrate Habitat will build 25 houses in West Virginia this year. Greene's house marks the 21st being built. It is located in the 1800-block of 9th Avenue.
