Guilty Plea in KRT Transit Mall Beating

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man accused in a beating that was caught on camera, has admitted to his role in the crime.

Brandon Douglas pleaded guilty to malicious wounding Friday morning in Charleston.

Police say Douglas and Dana Lafond beat Brandon Cotley unconscious and robbed him in March 2013.

It happened at the KRT Transit Mall in Charleston.

Douglas faces one to five years in prison when he is sentenced in January.

Douglas also agreed to testify against Lafond, whose trial starts Monday.
