UPDATE: Two Hurt in in Wrong-Way Interstate Crash

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people were hurt in wrong-way crash on I-64 in Huntington Thursday night.

It happened west of the 5th Street Exit.

Huntington Police say a car headed west in the eastbound lanes hit another car head-on.

Two people were taken to the hospital.

We're told their injuries are non life threatening.

A second crash shut down both eastbound lanes of I-64 near the Kenova exit and happened while traffic was slowing down from the first wreck.

Police say a semi slammed into the back of an SUV causing that driver to crash into another car.

The driver of the SUV was shaken up but was not seriously injured.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two major accidents are causing a headache for drivers on I-64.

A wrong-way crash has shut down part of I-64 near the 5th Street exit.

Huntington police say a car headed westbound in the eastbound lanes hit another car head-on.

Two people have been taken to the hospital.

We're told their injuries are non life threatening.

One of the eastbound lanes is expected to be shut down for about an hour.

The second crash shut down both eastbound lanes of I-64 near the Kenova exit and happened while traffic was slowing down from the first wreck.

Police say a semi slammed into the back of an suv causing that driver to crash into another car.

The driver of the suv was shaken up but was not seriously injuried.
