HAMLIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Faster response and better access.
That's what company leaders at Healthnet helicopter say is the reason behind the decision to move one of their birds from Huntington to Hamlin, W.Va.
Healthnet made a similar move last year, going from Charleston to Ripley.
The bottom line goal -- save more lives through more central locations.
With eight bases across West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky, Healthnet's trying to emphasize these moves are strategic, not an anti-Huntington or Charleston thing.
The first official day of operation in Lincoln County will be next Monday.
